This article will show you how to setup email on your iOS based device, such as an iPhone or iPad.

To view the correct settings for your email account, log in to your WEBSIFIC control panel and go to the Email tab and select Email Configuration from the side menu.



Configure Your iOS Device

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Choose Other.
  6. Choose Add Mail Account.

New Account Information

  1. Enter your name.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter the password for your email address.
  4. Tap Next.

Incoming Server Settings

  1. Username: Enter your full email address
  2. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  3. Host Name / Server: This is your domain name preceded by “mail.” like mail.yourwebsite.com.
  4. Port and Security Type:
    If you’re using POP, choose either:
    1. POP: Secure
      • Port: 995
    2. Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificate)
    3. POP: Insecure
      • Port: 110
    4. Security Type: None
  5. If you’re using IMAP, choose either:
    1. IMAP: Secure
      • Port: 993
    2. Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificate)
    3. IMAP: Insecure
      • Port: 143
    4. Security Type: None
  6. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.

Outgoing Mail Server

  1. Select Require Sign-In.
  2. Username: Enter your full email address
  3. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  4. Host Name / Server: This is your domain name preceded by “mail.” like mail.yourwebsite.com.
  5. For SMTP Port and Security Type, choose either:
    • SMTP Secure
      • Port: 465
      • Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificate)
    • SMTP Insecure
      • Port: 25
      • Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
  6. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.
  1. Host Name. The same as the incoming server.
  2. User Name Your email address.
  3. Password. The password you use to access your email account.
  4. Tap Next.

Cannot Verify Server Identity

This error message occurs because the certificate is for *.websific.com instead of your domain. Click continue to accept the certificate.


Mail and Notes

The final screen will ask if you want mail and notes turned on for this account. Leave them both on and tap Save.

  1. Leave Mail and Notes set to on.
  2. Tap Save.


How to Store Folders on the Server

  1. Go to Settings > Mail.
  2. Choose your email account.
  3. Scroll down to Advanced.
  4. Under Mailbox Behaviors, choose the mailbox you wish to configure.
  5. Choose the corresponding folder on the server you wish to save the email in.
  6. Repeat the above steps for any other folders you wish to store on the server.
